The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSCW) verbally approved the Grid Forward Central Wisconsin project on October 30, 2025. In collaboration with Xcel Energy, the approved route will connect the Columbia Substation in Columbia County, the Arpin Substation in Wood County and the Tremval Substation in Trempealeau County. 

A map of the approved route is below. We will provide more information, including next steps and an updated interactive map, once we receive the final written order from the PSCW.
